　　瑟古德·马歇尔是第一位担任美国最高法院大法官的非裔美国人他从1967年开始在最高法院服务直到1991年退休为止；在任此职之前马歇尔担任「全国有色人种协进会」NAACP的律师协助1954年废除种族隔离政策的案件 「布朗控诉投陴卡教育局案」Brown v Board of Education of Topeka, Kansas 赢得胜诉；他终其一生都致力于运用法律争取公民权和社会正义

　　乔治．史蒂文斯导演的此片长二百二十余分钟堪称同一题材片之最同时也是正面描写耶稣生平事迹的影片中投资最大之作剧情讲述基督耶稣自出生至钉死十字架上的故事影片场面颇为壮观可惜节奏太慢剧情的进展亦不够流畅看来相当沉闷乏味马克斯．冯．赛多卡罗尔．贝克等大批影星出演了此片均有不错表现
