　　Arrested Development讲的是一个很有钱的家庭Bluth家庭的故事主角Michael是家中二子他一直辛辛苦苦的为家族工作希望有一天能够接替父亲George Sr的位置结果在第一集里爸爸George Sr把董事长的位置交给了他妈妈Lucille就在大家庆祝爸爸的退休聚会的时候警察出现带走了George Sr罪名是他们家族的人把集团当成了私人提款机到处乱花钱Michael原本很受伤打算去另一个公司工作最后还是决定留在家族打理各种事务
　　主要角色还包括GOB,Michael的大哥由Amy Poler的老公扮演GOB是一位魔术师成天只有破坏没有建设还有点异想天开Michael的儿子George Michael汗George Michael有着良好的家教算是这个自私自利家族里的异端他爸爸偶尔会耍点怀心眼曾经暗恋自己的堂妹Maeby发音MaybeMaeby 的妈妈就是Michael的妹妹Lindsay毫无工作的她目前正在和丈夫Tobias处在离婚边缘花钱大手大脚有点大小姐Tobias原本是个心理医生因为无意中救错人而被吊销执照希望成为一名演员同样有些异想天开他很害怕暴露身体所以从来里面都穿着条牛仔短裤这也使得他和 Lindsay的性生活很有问题Buster是家族中最小的儿子因为从小到大都和妈妈住在一起所以有些恋母情节更感觉有些同性恋在2度因为老妈被一个长得象Michael Morre的人逼问会不会送小孩去伊拉克而被报名参军之后赌气下海游泳而被海豹咬掉左手目前用铁钩代替
　　这部片的拍摄手法是使用纪录片的手法偶尔会对故事里提到的事进行闪回搞笑的是家族里的人的各种古怪事和相互算计以及通过闪回带来的幽默画外音是由Ron Howard来配的奥斯卡最佳导演获得者在2度里面他们发现了老爸George Sr不仅私挪公款,还和萨达姆进行交易
